Pros

Work-Life Balance: The ability to work from the comfort of your own home is the primary benefit, offering significant flexibility and eliminating commuting costs. Product Impact: Managing credit card portfolios for a major financial institution provides valuable experience in banking compliance and high-stakes problem-solving.

Cons

Unrealistic Performance Metrics: During peak hours, there is intense pressure to maintain an Average Handle Time (AHT) of 8 minutes. Because the product is so critical to the client's financial life, balancing this speed with strict compliance requirements makes the role highly taxing and mentally draining. Feedback Disconnect: Service managers often fail to pass along positive feedback. There is a noticeable lack of effort in sharing praise, which stifles morale. Even high-level recognition from senior bank leadership rarely reaches the front-line advisors. Outsourcing Friction: For those hired through TekSystems, the feedback loop is heavily skewed. Contractual written warnings for issues are processed immediately, yet official commendations from RBC are almost never forwarded to the contracting agency. This creates a one-sided record where successes are ignored while complaints are formalized.
