Pros

Most of the people were nice..

Cons

On boarding was non-existent once the Covid-19 Pandemic forced employees to work from home. Manager never followed up and I grew frustrated as the months wore on. Manager was made aware of the short-comings of my on-board process but did nothing to correct the situation - blaming me for being a poor communicator. My manager worked in a technical setting but had no technical training and was afraid of learning anything technical. I feel as though this was an impediment from me doing work that would have been valuable to the organization, instead I was left copying and pasting data all day, everyday. New and improved at RBC regarding data management is as followed: 'Shut up and copy and paste the data'. Lack of on-boarding, non-stop micromanaging, brain-dead tasks all day long and a manager who didn't value automating data flows led to me having a mental breakdown at work.

Decent pay for Toronto banking sector

Cons

Terrible management (usually quickly promoted from junior rank to keep them from leaving) Absolutely no vision No accountability for bad decisions and failed projects.
