Pros

As with any bank, it's a stable job with excellent benefits. RBC has an excellent way of wrapping you inside of its culture. I also felt that they have made very significant efforts to improve customer satisfaction and employee motivation over the last years.

Cons

Very often you will be working with people who have worked for the bank for decades. There are a lot of mediocre people who are just satisfied with their job and who don't want to lose their benefits. In those cases, ambition and motivation is something that you have to develop on your own.

Pros

I loved my job right to the end and would take it back in a second if management was better selected.

Cons

There is not space to say why I lefted RBC. Bad Management is all I have to say. rethink about repalcing them with the ones they ran out the door.

Pros

Management recognizes importance of work life balance. Compensation is better than BOA and Wachovia.

Cons

Very little opportunity to move up. Everything is focused on making Scorecard #'s. Reorganizations happen every 6 months or so. When your boss' boss is out playing golf most afternoons, while you're stressed out to make your numbers, it's not very motivating!
