Pros

RBC provides me with the things that are important to me at this stage in my life...work/life balance, fair remuneration/benefits, career opportunities, training/development and security. I sincerely believe that my time at RBC can be as rich or weak as I choose to make it. If you are looking for a company to start out your career and build experience and knowledge, RBC is great for that. If you are looking for a company that offers security and work-life balance, RBC can provide that as well. If you are looking to move quickly throughout an organization, gaining experience, new challenges and increased compensation, RBC is well suited for that. In all, I would say that what you get out of working for RBC is what you put into it.

Cons

In any extremely large organization, you need to acclimatize yourself to the bureaucracy and pace. Things cannot happen as fast as you would always like them to.

Pros

There are several "best" reasons to work for RBC Bank. First, our benefits are Wonderful and very affordable compared to other companies. Second, there are so many departments within the bank which provides us the opportunity to learn and grow within the "same" company if we choose a new path. Third, the pay is competitive with the market for related positions. Last but not least, RBC is located around the world so there should be opportunities in the event someone needs to relocate! Great place to work!

Cons

There is no specific downside related directly to RBC Bank. Even though RBC is a great place to work, it still has "drama" within all departments. Of course, this is with any company. It does seem that certain departments get more support for initiatives and ideas than other departments. This has been expressed as one side of the bank being the "Dark" side of the bank.
