Pros

Great fellow employees, doing something new everyday and meeting new people from all woks of life, benefits are good and claims are usually rather easy to complete and fairly quick to compensate.

Cons

Not always as understanding of personal/family issues. Managers not always able to "match up" with their employees. Opportunities to advance and/or certain management not always agreeable. Three or more working days missed and automatically insurance is involved.

Pros

They believe and demonstrate an understanding for work life balance. They are pretty fair to their employees and treat us well. Some strides have been made to improve diversity at the bank and while this is appreciated we cannot sit on our laurels. Most of the managers and employees exhibit our commitment to our colleagues, clients and the community and I am proud to be associated with a great group of people. We need to constantly innovate and listen to feedback to improve our processes and procedures. The leaders are great but we need to see more diversity at the top ranks of the bank.

Cons

There is a lot of bureaucracy and policies that do not work take a long time to be changed.

Pros

The best reasons to work for RBC are the benefits and "possible" opportunity to advance into more lucrative position. RBC is the largest company in Canada.

Cons

The systems and incompetent and employs can render frustration. At the retail level, management seems to feel that they are above your level of inteligence. They can be condescending. Also, employees that have been working for the bank for many years but have a position that requires less responsibility and ultimitely less power, will challenge you on every issue. They are usually always wrong. This is frustrating and makes the atmosphere somewhat undesirable.
