Pros

The non-salary benefits (such as health care, retirement matching to 6%, and tiered vesting schedule for matches) and the work life/personal life balance provide the most compelling option to remain here.

Cons

Bank is increasingly hiring from outside the bank and the salary/promotion based on merit is not adhered to as much as it has been in the past. The bank is in a transition stage from a regional bank to make the move to a large bank.

Pros

It's a winning company that presents many advancement opportunities. It also does a lot in the community and allows their employees to participate (in many cases during work days and they are still paid).

Cons

Some management have the old-school banker mentality and tend to overlook the younger employees as "they have plenty of years ahead of them". Even if they are a top-performer who has been recognized as such.
