Pros

-good benefits -okay bonus -good RRSP matching/pension plan options;-you can elect through program to become a stakeholder/shareholder -great perks programs -good reputation -WFH once per week

Cons

-departmental politics -HR always sides with management -salaries in Insurance not on par with market trends, yet head can pay himself whatever he wants and usually 10 Million bonus -technology still catching up -hypocritical with values: makes everyone take yearly tests but as a corporate brand, they do not practice what they preach. -Yearly Employee Survey waste of time: they only care about the bottom line and not about their employees welfare

Pros

Large company with great brand presence in Canada. Multiple lines of business allow you to gain experience in diverse range of financial service segments.

Cons

Nepotism and favouritism are unfortunately easy to find. If you are lucky enough to work with a good manager you will get a fair shot. Else good luck to you!
