Canadian I-Bank

Pros

Many have worked at RBC for over 25 years. Small and trying to catchup to other I-Banks so pockets of entrepreneurialism still exist. Can make an imprint in areas and product groups that still need development.

Cons

I agree with the prior posts about senior management and promotions for multiple roles globally going to Canadians as well as the notable gender bias presented under the veneer of 'RBC nice'.

Great Place to Work

Pros

Great experience with my wealth management team. Highly efficient with revenue and continuing to grow. The partners made the work environment as comfortable as possible and the hours were not bad. I personally stayed an hour after my leaving time in order to keep a leg up on my work.

Cons

I cannot really comment on a poor experience with my time at RBC. The pay is pretty standard for the position I was in, however, one may look for a bit more compensation depending on the level of experience a person has within the given position. I was straight out of school, therefore had very little experience.

Pros

The general culture at RBC is very good, generally people are pleasant

Cons

London Technology practically appears to be being wound down. Each unit doing their own thing with much duplication
