Good company to work for

Pros

Excellent partners and co-workers. RBC has one of the best educated people in the industry. Excellent talent acquisition and employees have great work ethic. You will make some great friends here and grow yourself personally and professionally

Cons

Unable to retain good hard working employees. Compensation structure is one of the worst in the industry If you're looking for a promotion, apply to a different bank. RBC likes to hire from outside and will over look you no matter how qualified you are.

Pros

Big bank, lots of opportunities. Take advantage of working in different areas and raise your profile by volunteering and taking initiative.

Cons

If you are in the wrong area or department, chances to move up or to a different location may be limited. Apply to different areas in different parts of the city if you feel stuck. In my case, this didn't work so I had to leave for a different bank.
