Good benefits package

Pros

Good health benefits, retirement planning matching scheme as well as savings plan with a matching scheme (up to 3% of your contributions and must be vested for 2 years before you can redeem).

Cons

Can be quite structured in that you have to fulfill a year or more before you can apply for another position. Must ask your current manager's permission to apply for a new position which I found for some colleagues was a huge obstacle as they were so integral in their current team the management would not allow them to apply and discouraged them for years.

Pros

Decent work-life balance, not that competitive which allowed trading staff to punch out like the flintstones at 5:00 on the dot. Great domestic/canadian bank. Most of the revenue comes from the canadian banking operations, which is the core business and the most successful.

Cons

No direction in capital markets, confused about what they were trying to accomplish (NY YORK). Mission statement is un-compatible with risk tolerance/risk appetite. Goals are to be in the #9 or 10 player in the market....who sets goals so low?? Very limited reputation in the US, limited visibility.
