Pros

Honestly no pros , only good if you want to just enter in banking and there is no other option.

Cons

- Stressful environment -Keep pushing you for policies and procedures that does not even impact clts policies. -Less pay compare to stress that they give. -Back to back calls without even 1 second pause. -It is not just a normal call centre where employee just needs to take care of service levels , it is a regulated field where advisors need to take care of all rules and regulations. calls are normally longer than call center which is perfectly fine but they need to give some ideal time to rest and improve productivity of their own employees. I have some friends working in same industry but with different company , getting paid more than rbc and having more ideal and rest times as well. They are even getting longer breaks and more vacation days. It is one of the big 5 banks as well that my friend works for. Rbc doesnot take care of their employees. -Overwork -Overtime needed No work life balance -No space for growth

Pros

No micromanagement whatsoever. Great people. Great resources to guide you

Cons

Don't hold your hand when it comes to training. Can be overwhelming if new to the industry. Not a lot of promotion opportunity.

Shocking that RBC is this bad

Pros

The pay is competitive. Good work life balance in R&My.

Cons

Horrible work culture at Ratings and Monitoring in Global Credit at RBC Capital Markets in Toronto. I am shocked that this is the case at Canada's largest bank. Almost every team lead is from one country and they are bringing in people only from their country. This is making the culture toxic and hiring and promotions are no longer based on merit. Even the conversations on the floor are not in English. Senior management is incapable and are poor leaders, they are doing nothing about this. Extremely toxic, high attrition and work culture focuses more on "showing you are doing extra curricular things" than the work itself. Best to leave.
