Pros

I worked for ICIS (the energy side), we made team of great people, very hard working, but very friendly at the same time, always willing to help each other to success. Decent incentive / rewards for the sales team, basic salaries were at the time below what other companies were paying.

Cons

Some of the leadership higher in the hierarchy was a bit shortsighted in recognising the efforts of the sales team, and in understanding the clients.

Pros

In the heart of downtown town Evanston, great public transportation, and in a very professional building.

Cons

I have worked at RelX group/ Accuity / or Elseiver, (as it seemed they were associated with all three names to their business structure) for just under a month . Upon on-boarding it was a very confusing, and a unclear process. I would sit down and be interviewed by three people who all seemed unclear to what each of their roles were in the interviewing process. This came to be a warning side but I brushed it off and was excited for new opportunity. Being introduced to the company through a recruiting agency I was given material to study for the new role. Upon being questioned I was informed that my position would involve assistance with "fraud software" that "FI" utilized which is for Financial Institutions, as well as cloud storage and other IT services this firm offered for financial institutions, or large businesses as they claimed. While being questioned in the interviewing processes it seemed they all had a different approach to what the "brand" really is when I asked as they more so just avoided the question and explained my role. After the interview which took about 40 minutes I was contacted two weeks later with them offering me the position. As far as requirements go I had to upload 10 years worth of W-2's to prove my work experience this was the first time I was asked of this from a company in my work career. After completing this portion as well as a drug screening, and drug test I was finally ready to start working. Once I started working I would find out that this role involves working with asset verification with medicaid. When starting out I was hoping for some type of training or anything of that nature instead I had another worker that stated they were employed by them for a month that guided me through a 40 minute training session, I than shadowed another worker that had seniority and BAM that was it for all my training. Than after all of that me and two other new hires would get a call stating our role is done and they will be seeking other candidates. It was a rude awakening, and reminded how unethical, and corrupt certain companies are becoming especially with recruiting agencies so they can avoid the cost of benefits, unemployment, etc. Be very cautious of this company when getting hired as I am now taking steps to report them to the BBB.
