Great Company and Culture

Pros

It might be limited to the team I'm assigned to, but the culture is really wonderful. They encourage work/life balance. We all have mutual respect and trust; because of that, our team really excels. Really incredible team and there's no dead weight -- everyone really puts in 100%. I have had some really bad experiences in my past employment, and this is such a breath of fresh air.

Cons

It's hard to get a hold of someone in HR to ask about benefits and other things. You are directed to some video or read a document instead of one-on-one help. Same for being trained on their tech and systems-- documents and videos. If you are looking for fully remote (which they offer) and you're local BE SURE TO PUT IT IN YOUR CONTRACT UPON HIRE. It's hard to backpedal on that, and I wish I had requested it to be written when I accepted. Travel can be arduous

Pros

Down to earth people, good perks

Cons

They aren't taking the rest of the job market into account when making company-wide decisions - people with tech roles are required to do hybrid work, so if you want a remote role get it on your contract before you sign. Most of SLT are over a certain age and not fully aware of what they're competing with in terms of hiring in 2022. They also make it difficult if you want to have budget for upskilling or training for career progression. I've worked for 2 companies in the group and they don't invest much in their data teams - they don't try very hard to retain people with advanced skills, and they end up losing many people to other companies, which sets their progress back a lot in terms of internal projects.
