Pros

Some of the people are nice

Cons

Long hours. Lots of travel, low salary. They attempt to tell clients they're experts at something and then send in college graduates to do the work with no oversight.

Employees are disposable

Pros

Overall friendly professional environment. Great learning experience with hands on senior managers and partners.

Cons

The better you are and the harder you work, more work gets dumped on you with not much reward in return. Politics and favoritism play a huge role. No clear guidance on career development, management makes decisions on the fly on an as needed basis. Certain partners give out the vibe that employees are disposable working machines.

Pros

The IT department has some amazing talent, and the bar is set high as far as providing quality service and support. Good resources are made available and are utlitized very well. It's a nice place to get relevant IT experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. All in all, I recommend it for the experience and growth potential.

Cons

Way too much emphasis is put on culture. Popularity trumps skills. The upper levels of IT seem to have more mature employees that focus on true teamwork. Below that, however, all it takes is a couple of bad apples to ruin an otherwise positive experience for potential full-time highly-skilled IT employees. You can work as hard as you can, and bring all the skill in the world to the table, but that won't matter if you're not appreciated for petty reasons. The working environment is quite hostile while masquerading as a positive team effort. There is a definite inner circle of people who tend to treat others outside their circle very unfairly.
