- Zero job security – even with your name in writing on next FY business plans and positive working relationships with partners
-Absolutely shameless disconnect between leadership messaging and actions (e.g., bragging about near double-digit growth in a subpractice on Thursday, then laying off employees in that same subpractice on Monday)
-Culture that rewards mediocrity over competence – which is particularly alarming, given the low barrier to entry already ensures a far less competitive talent pool
-No warning system for RIFs - you can literally be staffed and cut the same day. A Partner and MD asked me to take on new work, and asked my future availability to speak on an internal panel on the same morning I was RIF'd. I wish I were joking.
