Pros

There is a five-word minimum.

Cons

RSM has zero concerns about its employees at the human level. Every year, every quarter, every month, every week, the partners get greedier and greedier and demand that everyone else become more profitable, by which they mean making more money for them, but they offer no resources or guidance on how to do that. Somehow, in their deluded minds, they have come to believe that this is an "opportunity" for the rest of us. The only people who succeed at this company are the ones who thrive in toxic environments; backstabbers and bullies who have no qualms about exploiting the people around them to get ahead.

Pros

The people, hands down. RSM has some very talented individuals and I feel very fortunate to say that I go into work each day looking forward to interacting with my coworkers.

Cons

Wages are not exactly adequate with demand for chargeable hours. At times the firm promotes "balance" by encouraging employees to take time away from the office, but in reality, there is no possible way to meet the administrative parts of the job, meet charge hour goals, and have time away from the office. Many firms have optional or part-time Fridays during the Summer... this is not the case at RSM. In fact, quite the opposite has been occurring this year (I have worked the past two weekends in July on both Saturdays and Sundays to make up for time missed during the week for life events when in most other situations, PTO would have been the route to take).

RSM - An easy-going employer !!

Pros

Note: Please note that this is not about RSM US LLP. This is RSM Delivery Centre based out of Gurgaon, Haryana, which serves as an outsourced/ offshore aid to consulting projects being executed out of USA (primarily). Pros would include: 1. Work-life balance. 2. RSM is a 'small-nest', you get a chance to know everyone here. 3. Compared to Big 4 firms, RSM has an easy-going execution methodologies. 4. Compensation is fairly matched to industry standards. 5. Flexibility in skills and resource management (you get to work on areas of your interest ! ). 6. HR presence is not too much, but yes, is impactful. 7. Facilities are reasonably afforded to you and should not effect one's decision to join RSM. 8. Training imparted is random, yet helpful and adds-up to your learning and skill-set, so be open to the same. 9. Flexibility offered to undertake further education and encouraged to undergo valuable market certifications. 10. An easy-going and stable attitude is valued here, if you have that, you are on the move ! 11. Flexi-timings, how can I forget ! You will be afforded much flexibility to accommodate your personal life, so that at the end, you don't feel clogged and blame RSM at the end. No, that doesn't happen here. Everyone stays happy and they let others stay happy ! 12. Employee engagement programs are just sufficient: Parties, get-togethers, mini-treats, team lunches, etc - are just sufficient to keep the energy levels intact and keep you socially up, at all the times. 13. Travel is not much - It is an outsourced/ offshore partner of RSM US LLP, so one won't be required to travel much (except once/ twice a year) - Excessive travelling is not required at RSM. So, in all, RSM is an "easy-going-employer", who is not in a hush-hush mode, like big consulting firms.

Cons

Cons, as far as I know, are not much, but yes, no organization is perfect. So, here you go: 1. Streamlining is on the curve these days, many a things alter and you get to know that well in advance, so no worries ! 2. Small set-up in India, so you won't have an "office-feel". Its just a suite-office in Vipul Square (Sushant Lok, Gurgaon, Haryana). People hailing from big employers find a reason to call it "withdrawal shock", as they were always surrounded by people with their previous employers . Here at RSM-Gurgaon, you won't see much people in office as there are none. The firm is growing and will eventually add-up to its human capital. Please allow yourselves to relax here. 3. Facilities are reasonably afforded to you. People from large MNCs and firms find it difficult to cope-up with the same. Every organization has budgets, so does RSM. Facilities are reasonably provided - Cafe Coffee Day machine, in-house kitchenware and cutlery, full-time domestic help to run your office and semi-personal errands, cab facilities (male employees - after 9 PM and female employees - after 7/8 PM), parking/ reimbursements in lieu for employees. 4. High-bench time - RSM is just setting-up in India, so please be ready to sit without any project for a while, which should not frustrate you. There is not much work around and verticals are just setting-up. Other than these, I personally can't think of much negative sides of RSM. Its a small and well-knitted group of people which is growing day-by-day and presents immense opportunities to learn and grow.
