Pros

Good ability to work from home. There is a clear career path for school/university leavers, however this does not extend to those in IT/Marketing roles.

Cons

One of the most toxic places I've worked where partners/directors will actively undermine employees to advance their own career. Your manager will not have time for you, or give you guidance in any way, Trust no one here.

Pros

Nothing is good about this place.

Cons

The FDD team in Gurgaon/Banglore has a poisonous culture. Employees are handled like slaves. Instead of focusing on developing FDD abilities, a newly hired associate must manage the pressure to bring in more business and work for the company. The directors are not encouraging/supportive at all. Sugar-tongued people are simply meant to survive. They generally are impolite and rude and if you respond in the same manner, that is the beginning of the end for your career. Since HR is the Management's puppet, don't expect HR to stand up for you if you have any concerns about Directors. No learning or knowledge curve. The most time you will spend working on copy-and-paste tasks. RSM does not make layoffs, RSM puts workers on non-performance plans and says goodbye to them (this is done to not make any damage to the company's reputation in the marketplace). If you don't come to office thrice in a week, either your annual targets will be increased or there will be 20% paycut. This place is not at all focused on the employee growth or care about employees.

Pros

Because of the lack of staff, you can move up quickly and teach yourself a lot if you are willing to do the work

Cons

I decided I wanted to go into industry and after many years of dedication and many friendships which I believed to be sincere, I assumed that RSM Tax would be very supportive in my decision to leave. However, when a client expressed interest in bringing me on, RSM was very quick to suggest seeking outside applicants (as described by client). I also know from people who went off on their own year prior, when they came to RSM in the hopes of networking with them, RSM was completely disinterested/not responsive. Go somewhere where you do the work and they reward you when you want to try something new.
