Pros

The firm has a good reputation as an outsider of the "Big 4". Its clients are diverse which can allow for great experience across industries. Senior leadership promotes continuing education and an entrepreneurial attitude.

Cons

High turnover in some business groups can slow down growth and consistency with clients. Often times new associates are brought onto projects without formal training in the firm's best practices and methodology.

Pros

Very relaxed atmosphere, which can also be a bad thing. However, I believe it is a great place to start a career.

Cons

As being relaxed is a pro, it can also be a con. When I first started it was so relaxed that I felt like nobody even cared what I was doing.

Pros

McGladrey & Pullen is a great brand name to have on your resume and great place to begin your career. They offer lots of training.

Cons

Just like any public accounting firm there are very long hours during certain parts of the year and high stress environment.
