Pros

Free Lunch coupon In cafeteria, coffee vending machine will be there, you can take the coffee with free of cost.

Cons

Management very bad. No cab/transport facility. Fake promise by HR. Very few carrier opportunity. There is no value for skills. Management wants cheap labors. Lot of conditions on leave policy. Keep changing HR polices as Management wish. Micro Management.

Pros

Horrible unhygienic food and some benefits with conditions. So ya basically nothing

Cons

All the good reviews and comments you see with embellished words!! Well that’s simply their HR department themselves and forcing their employees to write it for them. Maybe Rakuten in a great company but the Bangalore branch is nothing but a garbage place for hard working people. If you are not good at nothing but knows how to butter the upper management and HRs you can make good money in exchange you can write good reviews too. They hire the worst managers and birds of same feather flock together even at HR dept. So yeah go on join this company if you wanted to be in politics and you liked snitching on your friends at school to be your teachers favourite. It’s the right place for dummies! Tip: Politics, boot licking will take you places in Rakuten. Worst company culture.

A Company At the Crossroads.

Pros

There are some very talented people and couple of executives who know what they are doing. CEO himself is smart, knows how to run business and how to grow ecosystem. Company is stable and if you like, you could work there forever while delivering mediocre results. Impossible to get fired. Situation in company is generally better than a couple of years ago. If you are working in big department, you will learn quickly and learn a lot.

Cons

Unfortunately this company does not care about their employees. Turnover rate is high and after every 6 months (after evaluation) a lot of people will leave. Instead of fixing problems, HR is trying to brainwash their employees. 'Asakai' which is a propaganda event in company is mandatory for everyone. If you are not joining, you will get punished. Most of managers and some executives joined as new grads and were promoted to their current stage. They have no idea how to run business or their organization. They have no idea about leadership or how to motivate their employees. Culture is toxic and internal politics is stopping a lot of projects to be delivered in time. It is not rare when whole project is postponed and 'Partner staffs' laid off due to internal politics. Tech wise, company has a lot of legacy systems that are difficult to maintain. Troubles happen often and usually engineers (not managers) will get blamed.
