Huge earning potential, excellent learning and CPD available, always kept up to date with changing legislation, market leader

Cons

Micro managed to the extreme, very long working hours expected but not contracted, most employees feel like they are part of the 'machine', lack of personal touch from Senior Managers

Pros

Met interesting clients and developed a nice network. Locations are quite good because they are always located near a train station. Salary in the range of the market.

Cons

Awful (French) management, poor vision, bad strategic decision, 50% casting error. High pressure, sharks and unethical persons everywhere. Promises not kept. Challenges won but never saw the prizes. Cheaters everywhere. Some people at the management clearly takes us as idiots. Very high turnover (more than 60% since I arrived). Some peoples have more tools and more chances to succeed than others (and thoses preferences are not based on success, skills or merit). Unrealistic targets, etc...

One of the things that strike me most about Randstad is its focus on its people - it continuously looks at how it can help its employees succeed in their jobs, how it can improve itself and its culture. Motivation levels in the office are high - to preserve the awesome culture, the management team places strong importance in hiring the right people who possess the same values, as opposed to capable people who are clearly not a fit for the organisation. Love the team spirit here - and the spirit of innovation that exists throughout the organisation, both locally and globally. The Group has an internal policy of promoting at least 80% of their staff - which is a value that all offices hold in high regard and actively practice. They truly believe when they focus on delighting their employees, their people will in turn delight their clients and candidates.
