Pros

Good initial training for the role.

Cons

Poor management. Unrealistic expectations for it's employee's. Bad commission/bonus structure. A LOT of stress in the role. Too much Micromanagement. Not willing to take feedback or hear new ideas. Do not allow a receptionist in the branch which means additional workload to the staff that is already overwhelmed. Not enough diversity within the office (i.e. hiring the exact same type of individual -- women ages 23-30 years old with the same personality type). Unethical. A LOT of gossip between upper management and bad mouthing other employees which comes across as very unprofessional.

Pros

There are no pros working here.

Cons

-Poor senior management – No support. The regional manager won’t remember your name and the second time you meet, they will tell you that “it’s nice to briefly meet you”. -Bullying & Harassment – Will threaten you with your probation (do not book any appointments during work hours, they don’t like this). Will also use threatening language. -Favouritism – Management only cares about the top biller. -Belittlement – You will be made to feel like you are the problem. -No set commission structure – My commission structure was not set for the whole time I was there. It was constantly being reviewed by the regional manager. I only received commission 5 times out of the 11 months I was there. -You will not control your commission or how much you earn. Your colleague will. -Will tell you you’re a 180 consultant but really, you are a 360 consultant. -Micromanagement – Your colleague will constantly review what you do on their screen in front of you. -When letting management know about a work issue, they will tell you to “let it go over your head”. -Will use personal situations against you – DO NOT CONFIDE IN ANYONE. -Will mess around with hybrid working – Told me I could work from home in second week. In fourth week, they told me I couldn’t. -Left me alone from 4pm to 6pm as a new starter. -Constant toxic, gossipy environment. -Feedback will be given out of working hours, even weekends. -I did not receive a pay rise when the whole company did (I was told this was a cost of living pay rise) - I was not told why, instead I was told I had been given a significant rise in salary compared to my previous job. -You will be humiliated in front of your team – emails sent to the team about your mistakes. -Probation extended without a warranted reason – I exceeded all of my targets before my 6 month probation. -Extended probation ended in January, just after the companywide pay rise (Surprise, surprise). -You will not be given a pay rise once you pass probation and you will be told this is Randstad’s policy. -You will be blamed for mistakes made by others and you will have to investigate this yourself (When you raise this to management, you will be told you are taking it “too personally”). But you will still be told to take responsibility for the mistake and bookings – when I was told I have NO control over bookings and my colleague will deal with it. And so much more...

Pros

Big company - have lots of roles to work on

Cons

1. management mindset is old and way too traditional. not competitive in the market. claims to welcome feedback, but when feedback is given, their responses will be "we don't do this" or "we have never practiced this" 2. rude managers - implied that employees are animals to their face when things were not done their way, despite it being successful. openly badmouthing employees for preferring to WFH WHEN THE PANDEMIC WAS GOING RAMPANT. 3. extremely low rates for terms. the teams doesn't seem to value high quality work. focuses on volume. managers will not recognise a good negotiation, and would instead question you for wasting time to even negotiate. 4. extremely arrogant manager. constantly boasting about how much deals he make, and really proud that he works 7 days a week, and seem to expect his employees to do the same 5. clients are not respected. jobs given are not worked on, despite them agreeing to work on them.
