It's a burn-out culture. Very publicly (even outside the org) the CEO and VPs are proud to say things like “this is not for everyone, if you are not willing to give your life here don't come.” And I've found out even doing long hours, no-sleep and weekends is not enough. You are always slacking. Make you think it's all on you. And, you should figure out what is happening to yourself. (Gaslighting) You ought to think it might be just you, but when you ask peers and people outside your team, everybody feels the same. Overworked, undervalued and plainly depressed. Management is mediocre and see's you're easily replaceable if you were not friends with someone before coming in. If you slow down because you are feeling bad, and you ask for help, you are cut from the good projects. (Basically quite firing you) Lastly, the management they are getting in from outside Latin America seems to have the credentials but doesn't know or care to know about the difference between the LATAM market. Resulting in mediocre products and disengaged teams. They just come for their checks.

This company has no organizational culture. Inside it is a mess at all levels. If the outsiders knew how the inside company works, they would realize that everything is fake. There is no kind and close leadership on the part of leaders. Everything is handled as if it were a tribe where entering is very difficult. I put my case: I quit a very good job in the financial system with a career of more than 12 years flawless and with projection. I decided to risk everything thinking about the dream of working in an internationally recognized fintech and it was all a fraud, after promising myself an international projection and being the leader of more than 100 people. Five months after hiring me, they fired me only saying that they had made a mistake and that my position would no longer be necessary. An impeccable career path thrown away. Everything you see outside of rappi is fake. Inside the company it is very manual and not as technological as it seems. They do not respect people, there is no empathy, My recommendation is, do your research before making such an important decision. In my opinion working with them was the worst decision of my life.
