Pros

there's a huge opportunity to learn more about things that are outside your job function. i learned more about brand advertising here in my first 6 months than in the 3+ years prior.

Cons

upper management has legitimately no idea what's going on or where to take the company and there is a huge brain drain taking place. i am legitimately shocked that they are still in business.

Morale is low

Pros

Amazing people and exposure to high level clients and work.

Cons

Overall morale is extremely low - no upward trajectory even though they promise it to everyone. They care too much about employees' social status - the more followers you have on IG, the higher they think of you and your abilities. Like a popularity contest for adults.

Pros

Great people to network with. All under the same ridiculous amount of stress so you will bond on your constant misery.

Cons

The salary is abysmal. The two white men who run the company are clearly running the company into the ground. They will put you on a "path to promotion" don't drink the kool-aid. When it is time to promote you they will claim they cannot afford to promote at this time. (While simultaneously promoting half of the sales department) There is NO growth opportunity. NO worklife balance. You will be expected to work until 7pm every night. They really only care about their sales employees because they are running out of money and desperately looking to bring some in. Morale is incredibly low. I have never seen a company lose a CRO and CFO within two weeks of each other and then wait MONTHS to find a COO (combining the two positions) as a replacement. Shocker, the COO left us for Twitter after 4 months. No leadership. No consistent vision. The company is trying to be an event agency and a tv network when really they should just focus on being a digital publisher. If you stand up for yourself and know your worth...you will be let go. But the company is all about women empowerment, right? It's a joke. I wouldn't wish employment here on my worst enemy.
