Pros

Great benefits. 401k, free food and lunches, they pay for you to buy games, great community.

Cons

CEO playing favorites to employees who agree with whatever he says. Employees who dont agree, or truthfully criticize work are flipping a coin on their job.

Pros

Good pay, usually good work/life balance. Great new campus in Santa Monica. Free lunches from a very good cafeteria. Get paid to play the game.

Cons

Management seems down on relational database technology in general, attitude is to move everything to NoSQL technology. General lack of understanding of how database systems work (e.g. statefull vs non-statefull nature of db's.) makes it difficult to implement and provide on going support or improvements to data engineering. Beyond that there is a premadonna wall amongst many of the engineers that impedes progressive creative engineering solutions.

Riot Games offers everything I could ever ask for. I love the fact that it's a challenging collaborative environment and people are incredibly down to earth & friendly. The company invests in people and it shows. Love it!

Cons

There really is no downside to Riot. Best place to work!
