Pros

We have great benefits and perks. Riot really cares about it's Rioters. We are challenged on a constant basis, no stagnant minds here. If you have passion for things other than your specific job, there are many opportunities to have outlets. Office is pretty cool, soon to be better! Open PTO policy If you invest in Riot, Riot will invest in you. Gaming encouragement (games are played in the office, all games, not just League)

Cons

Tend to be work/life/balance issues, due to gaming at work and passion of Rioters. If you don't find a mentor at times you can feel lost (you are responsible to find your own, and drive the relationship) Loud work spaces Some ppl play too many games, you wonder if they actually work Riot Games is located in a high cost of living area There has yet to be a lot of growth into mgmt, often times hired from the outside

Pros

LOVING my job at Riot. This may not be true for all Rioters, but for me, my job at Riot was a lifestyle change. Riot not only creates the environment and the culture for you to innovate and come up with crazy ideas, but also empowers and supports you every step of the way. From day 1, I felt like I had every right to go in and voice my concern with any process, and suggest/implement changes to better the company. Seniority and politics don't come into play.

Cons

Things to consider- overtime happens...constantly. Everyone works around the clock, and puts in extra hours. I have never completed all of the tasks that I want to finish in a day, and never felt content heading home after work. The thing about Riot is that we hire a lot of overachievers and workaholics, and right now, we are hiring like crazy. But with all the tasks that need to be done, our team still runs very lean. My day is filled 150% with tasks that need to get done, that I don't get the chance to push the limits. I constantly feel like I have to choose between doing my job, and acting on an amazing idea I have to boost our team. I'd like Riot to be better staffed so I can do what I was hired to do, and improve the team, rather than only taking care of emergent tasks at hand.

Pros

Caring and Thoughtful Company Culture - always finding new ways to make you feel like a part of a great team I am given autonomy and am allowed to take responsibility to make a real difference at this place. There are so many opportunities but you need to know how to take them. What I was hired for is not what I am doing today and that was my choice - I saw a gap and I filled it

Cons

Lack of mentorship. I'm able to grow but I have to do it on my own. Poop and swoop feedback is a real problem here and it's not just from the upper management.
