Pros

Bosch culture provides good work life balance. Free Breakfast/Lunch/Evening Snacks. For eligible associate, dinner is also free Sometimes you will get opportunity to work in good projects ( cloud , IOT). I got opportunity and they are really interesting. There are several events organised for employees. Bring your Children, Townhalls/events at some tourist location. My Office provided very good play ground and i used to run regularly every evening. Bosch provided that motivation and i started participating in marathon from Bosch. If you have luck, you will get good onsite opportunities depending on your project.

Cons

Changing a project is impossible if you have bad manager If you are a technology enthusiast Bosch is not right place. If you would like to do nothing and retire , Bosch will have few opportunities for it. ( There are few associates i have personally saw doing nothing and at very high management level) Hike or annual increment depends on the department. Your individual hard work doesn't matter if your overall department has failed in revenue generation. I faced big problem in getting a promotion my team member. Again it depends on the department performance. Some projects are using legacy stack. There is no strict development process followed. You will find projects with very bad coding standards and processes. You will definitely find your own colleague earning more than you and he will brag about it. You will be offered low package, so better negotiate with HR about the package and designation. ( Kindly do not accept offer if you feel it is not good. do not consider your personal commitment for accepting an offer)

Pros

Company brand holds a reputation. It is very big organisation with very good vision and work. Company facilities like canteen facility which is the best.

Cons

Its a big list here..... Teams that work for Diesel systems - development in Bellandur, Bangalore office. 1. The HR policies are worst, especially when it comes to appraisals. Nothing is fair and transparent. 2. Few teams are biased (totally driven by manager and their favourites). 3. There are few senior members who has the monopoly and the manager does not have any control to stand with justice OR to bring in the correct things in the team. Due to this, the new members in the team suffer a lot. There is group-ism within the team and insulting new members in the team, is a part of the team culture. In fact the manager is also the main culprit for these things. Any opinion of the new member is not respected/appreciated. Only blame game works here. Due to all these many people who joined this team, left the team in 2-3 years after joining this team. So Sad !! 4. After several complaints and skip level meetings also the team pattern remains the same. There is no change at all. 5. The dirtiest thing is the PIP - where the manager does not address the employee about his improvement in the complete year but puts him in PIP. This is just because the manager does not like him. I believe that such managers lack leadership skills. This is the fear that the manager has. A good manager will hold you, show you direction in the right time, take responsibility of employee's success/failure. Beware of such managers and their puppets. 6. I would also like to add here, its important to know, Robert Bosch as a company is very good. Not all teams are like this. Some departments are very good and positive. It has really very good policies and vision for each and every individual. But it really need to look upon such teams where there are such frustrations and demotivate to extreme level, where the managers attempt all possible ways to destroy the enthusiasm and energy of new and bright employee. The employee who contributes with so much of hard work and this is what you as manager offer to them.. Great !!
