      Decent place to work at if you are already an experienced and competent engineer

      Pros

      Very friendly colleagues, some are very helpful but others not (perhaps they are just busy with projects). Most of the seniors are there for very long already (10+ years) and so you can try to learn how they apply engineering into power tools design and how they manage engineering projects. Subsidised canteen food if you don't mind eating quite similar food everyday. Implement a time-bank system so you can have more flexibility. Can apply for internal transfer to other departments or even other Power Tools plants.

      Cons

      Can be tough actually. Even though Robert Bosch Power Tools is a German company, but in actuality, the entire engineering team is reporting to boss in China. And his expectations are very high and in the future, each engineer will be expected to handle more projects. Can be toxic where PJM will shout at you to fk off from the company during meeting if you are not performing up to expectation (depends on the PJM or boss you work under I guess). Which is why when working here, you are expected to be competent and self-driven, with minimal support or guidance.

      Typical german multinational company.

      Stability, security, predictibility and relative good work-life balance.

      Cons

      Insane burocracy, pointless meeting advocating culture. For me this idea of "if you are in the office and you are in a meeting you must be doing useful work" poisons the whole atmosphere.
