Pros

Experience working for a AAA games company. They provide perks like BUPA healthcare, Fitness Budget, ability to purchase shares at a reduced price, free meals and the potential for end of year bonuses.

Cons

Very corporate and toxic environment where the company is prioritized over the employees and they are never willing to take responsibility for any bad decisions made by management (of which there are plenty). They actively try to push a family narrative but have no problems lying to employees or intentionally avoiding serious issues raised...treating any constructive criticism as an attack. Managers tend to have this "you should be grateful to work here" attitude whenever you try to raise legitimate concerns. Advancement through the company is rarely based on merit but more on knowing the right people, fitting some company agenda or a willingness to submit/side with the company on all fronts regardless of how that bad that can be at times. In terms of creativity, they were once trend setters in the industry, willing to push boundaries and focus on on player enjoyment. Unfortunately these days they seem to just rinse and repeat the same game design and mechanics that made them their millions because their focus and drive for everything they do now is rooted in money/profit.

Pros

Worked on globally recognized titles like GTA V, RDR2, and GTA Trilogy – a great name to have on your resume Structured QA processes and exposure to game development pipelines Access to experienced teams and the chance to learn from some of the best in the industry Strong brand reputation and job security in a well-established company Decent benefits and workplace facilities

Cons

Limited upward mobility, especially for QA staff Work-life balance can be challenging during crunch periods Communication between departments can sometimes be siloed Creative input is minimal for non-design roles Internal recognition and promotions could be more transparent
