Frustration level with older employees can be high so you can find yourself in almost meaningless discussions with Italian managers about nothing because he is actually just frustrated. Withholding the information in this company is the biggest issue I faced. To find latest info that is current to some of your tasks is really hard, sometimes deliberately hidden from you so other party can feel like they have power over you. Management is really scared of making decisions that have some wight so most of the time they are all full of words but are uncapable of taking responsibility. This is big issue as tasks gets delayed for unreasonable amount of time while they try to find million and one informal approvals for the decision they would like to take. Phrases like "I do not want to sign this, it should be signed by someone else" are often heard like said due to fear of responsibility. On the opposite side, meaningless decisions for which no one even cares can require you 10 meeting to discuss it over and over. Your career will usually get you somewhere within first couple of years and then rarely will it move from that point forward. There you find yourself stuck in one place indefinitely where we get back to frustration level of seniors in the company.
