      So much potential is it painful

      Pros

      Conveniently located right off the Katy freeway in Houston. Some extremely nice and talented people employed here.

      Cons

      Extremely poor management. Being a subsidiary of an Italian run company; headquartered in Italy, there is little business sense with regard to operations in the US. Very constrictive operation as everything must be approved through the Italian office. The talent and traits of the employee base is stiffed because of micromanagement and an extremely distrusting nature when it comes to their employees. The amount of nonconstructive bureaucracy is staggering.

      Great exposure to operational criticalities and complex projects, therefore there is great opportunity to learn by doing and build up solid competence.

      Cons

      Very poor work-life balance and HR management. Incredibily poor training programs - actually, the company DOESN'T provide training, as the management fear to lose the people they invest in. Management style is generally very rough and primitive. Poor opportunities for a good career, as competence and professionality is not very well rated - more frequently, loyalty to management is preferred. Very poor or no retention plans and incentive schemes; wages are generally lower than average, there is a very high turnover as skilled people find good opportunities elsewhere, sooner or later.
