The compensation system is regularly changed and rarely makes sense, meaning goalposts are always moving and expectations are unclear. Job descriptions are kept purposely vague to exploit you. If you are lucky enough to be stack ranked higher than the majority of your team during performance reviews, any potential raises are small and capped. The wonderful people focused culture Shopify once had is dead. Morale and engagement is extremely low.
