Pros

"Decent" work environment. Not really too bad but not the best I've worked at either.

Cons

Pay. From what I've seen they typically like to low ball people. Working in Georgetown seems like you get the worst of both worlds... less than Austin pay but still paying Austin level mortgage/rent...

Good pay. Some Good People. Decent Location. OK Benefits.

Cons

HORRIBLE Upper Management. Bad Leadership. No Raises. No Bonuses Only Except for Upper Management. Culture is a FARCE; Only there for Appearances. Supervisors Set You Up for Failure. HIGH ATTRITION. Fires GOOD/HARD working people for the good of the business.

Pros

The pay is alright. Lots of clients.

Cons

Management is unbearable. You will never get the days off that you need. If you request a Monday off months in advance, you can only get that day off IF you meet your numbers. They will go out of their way to make sure that you are scheduled to work the day that you asked for off. Meeting your numbers is not easy or guaranteed in slow seasons, but you can’t take a vacation during months that are busy. Vacations are impossible because if you don’t meet your numbers the week before a vacation, they will fire you if you still go no matter how far in advance you requested off. They don’t allow breaks unless there are zero clients in the lobby. They will scoff at you and tell you to bring granola bars. Terrible with working with students. Will discourage you from going to college. Management gossips like teenage girls. The stylist are supposed to finish haircuts in 15-30 minutes and that includes begging the client to pay extra for a shampoo and for product. The haircuts are terrible because of this and the tips are low because of the lack of quality you can give in such a short amount of time.
