Overall good pay and often great coworkers

Pros

Clients are easy-going and easy to make happy. Coworkers are often fun to work with and make the job enjoyable. The pay is reasonable, and the team leaders (our franchise owners) are great people who take care of their staff.

Cons

Hours are dependent on current staff and managers that are always changing. Even if you're full time, they base your hours on performance if they are overstaffed. If they are understaffed, you will be given full-time hours regardless. Some weeks you can be working 35-40 hours and I've been scheduled as little as 10 for not selling enough retail the week prior. This is why I find the job extremely enjoyable for something you don't have to rely on for bills, and very stressful otherwise.

Make great money fast if you have skill with men’s haircuts. No color, perms, styling. Men are typically good tippers and easy to work with.

Cons

Very corporate environment, and your experience as an employee will rely heavily on your managers personality, and your fellow employees.
