Thank you for sharing your thoughts and sorry to read that your workload is currently high. At Springer Nature we are very proud of the work we do to contribute to finding solutions to some of the World's greatest challenges. Here we get to do this everyday. One of the most popular aspects of our culture is our work life balance and our wonderful people. We review our pay regularly in line with the industry and our flexible benefits package and (in Berlin) our free holiday between Xmas and the New Year is also proving very popular.

Pros

Your colleagues. Work from home option (but they do threaten to take this away)

Cons

Cracks in upper management filter down the chain. Very poor salaries and a toxic environment

Sorry to read your thoughts after being with the Springer Nature family for over 4 years and I'd like to take time to respond to your points. Our hybrid working policy allows flexibility but also encourages colleagues to come to work to foster a healthy collaborative team culture, learn from each other and build strong relationships. Many of our colleagues enjoy this hybrid working. On training, we have recently launched an enhanced career hub which guides colleagues on ideas to encourage career & talent development; please take a look at this. We do have leadership training and the first phase of this went live this year. In term of salary, we benchmark and reward our colleagues according to our industry and we offer a generous and flexible benefits plan in the UK with other benefits like Workation allowing colleagues to work from another location for 20 days and blend holiday and work.

Thank you for sharing. We celebrate our culture and strong work life balance ethos. Working within a business that helps scientists and researchers find solutions for some of the World's greatest challenges is very rewarding. We are a culture that believes in promoting from within and offering opportunities to grow your abilities and career with us. The vast library of self learning is generally quite popular with many of our colleagues who enjoy using their own more flexible time management to learn and grow.
