Thank you for sharing your review. All insights are valuable and we do listen to our colleagues. Last year colleagues took part in our Engagement Survey and in response to this insight, we took further action on career development opportunities and also looked at supporting our managers to build a greater understanding of how to better support this within their teams. We are looking to offer a culture that enables colleagues to develop and challenge themselves in a collaborative, nurturing environment that priorities colleague wellbeing, flexibility, opportunity and inclusion. Please take a look at our global careers hub and talk to your HR contact for further advice and support.

Pros

For me, it's the opportunity to pursue my passion. If you're passionate about a specific topic, there's always flexibility to put yourself forward for a new gig, an exciting project, or an inspiring career move that plays to your strengths. This, to me, is what the employer brand promise "stretch your horizons" really stands for. If you have a certain career path in mind, you can take ownership. Internal mobility is clearly on the rise, and learning and development opportunities are open to all. And most importantly, DEI is not merely a box-ticking exercise here but taken very seriously and approached with a data-driven mindset. I'm proud to be part of the 44% female leaders at the company.

Cons

The time difference can make working in a truly global team challenging but enriching at the same time. It's a big organisation, so decisions often take longer.

Thank you for sharing your review and thoughts. It's terrific to be part of our inclusive culture where gender equity is such a pivotal priority and proud that our management board representation is now 50%. I echo your sentiments and the strength and value of our new employer brand and what it represents at Springer Nature for all our colleagues. The three strands of our Employee Brand are: Develop your curiosity by working alongside inspiring colleagues, Stretch your Horizons by working for a truly global business and Be Yourself. Our 10 employee networks focus on fostering dialogue around diversity, community building, advice, advocacy and sustainability making it easy to participate equally and perform at your best. It's highly rewarding to be part of a terrific people centric culture and knowing that the work we do will help scientists and educators contribute to finding solutions to some of the most challenging solutions for generations to come. Thank you again.
