Pros

Flexible with schedule, I was able to work there while I was in high school and still got a decent amount of hours. Free or discounted food, depending on store.

Cons

Rude customers, hit or miss managers, not a thorough enough training.

Pros

Basically, if your coworkers are cool, the job is cool. If they are stuck up or something it ruins the whole thing. Work isn't too hard, it's a good first job.

Cons

People get grumpy. That kinda sucks, but is to be expected of a customer service job. They don't really respect students like they should. Sometimes they'll have you working late when you have school the next day.

Pros

Professional relationships, special events, people oriented management, family oriented company. Facility and location. Individual recognition through award "ceremonies." Little perks like food (new product) tasting.

Cons

Very difficult for programmers to stay abreast with current industry technologies -- Old software development technologies and practices. Almost total lack of training in that regard.
