Pros

I think as a "Company" Target cares about their employees. The rules, regulations, and commitments for and to their employees are perfectly fair, and seem to have consideration for people that do work there. As a lower level team member, i had a GREAT time working there. The Team Leaders seemed to be knowledgeable and understanding, (not the executives). Of course things change and your perspective of the store when you become a Team Leader, and im sure more so as you and if you move further up.

Cons

I think Target has the right idea in mind to take care of their team members, but i think that it being applied at store level is a different story. A few of my biggest concerns were 1. the recognition, its huge for Target as a company, but it gets pushed aside at store level, and I'm speaking for myself, but its very hard to stay motivated when you feel like no one cares or appreciates anything you do, especially when those thing are CLEARLY out of your core roles, (but expected to do them anyway). and 2. and this was a big one for me, is the executives that become executives right out of business college. Working for someone that can barely even complete a sales transaction on their own is very difficult especially considering the position i was in (GSTL). And 3. If you cannot work in a FAST paced environment, DO NOT work here. I guess its mostly like any other retail, you get paid little for what you are expected to do, its retail, so guests DO blame YOU personally for the downfalls within the store, and the hours are not great.
