Pros

Everyone I worked with seemed to get along well and we worked well as a team. They do a lot of team building and recognition for jobs well done. If you are a good worker they will promote you pretty fast. They have team members recognize each other for jobs well done.

Cons

Some weeks you only got 5 or 10 hours as a part time employee. You can get more hours if you are cross trained but sometimes it is not easy to get cross trained.

Pros

Target works around my schedule. I have to work opposite my husband and they have been very good about my strict schedule demands. It is as neat and clean as it appears to customers (known to Target as "guests"). There are some very, very smart team members that I have met and become friends with. I like that I get a 10% discount for things that I would buy any way, even if I didn't work at Target. Target has some really nice products to purchase, and now I'm just trying to complete 100 words because I hate Target. Done.

Cons

Target has a very, very low glass ceiling. I have met some team leaders and team members that will never go any higher than their current position. Target has started a new policy on hiring Executive Team Leaders (assistant managers). They have to have a degree but not necessarily ANY retail experience. Target has an extremely high employee turnover rate. I have worked with literally dozens of people in the short year that I've been there. You get treated with virtually no respect and every single day they remind you of what your job is even though it's the same daily.
