Pros

Easy to do the same thing and get comfortable. Able to move teams but hard for subject matter expert team players. Overall company culture everyone is mostly helpful there should be at least 1 person on each team that is willing to help everyone. You are able to switch teams if you'd like but will have to apply internally like everyone else.

Cons

Company claims to value diversity and help create a better environment but it's mostly for adding good numbers of diversity and claims on paper. If you look at the 2023 incident where they removed the LGBTQIA+ products from stores it says a lot about their values to back down products instead of lead with pride. Controversial topic as these threats were aimed towards the safety of the people. Managers and senior level engineers+ are very political to gain title/pay raises for themselves. The HR team is there to protect their higher ups so report your experiences for paper trail but micro bullying / managing from them will not result in discipline for your managers. Pay band is low considering this is Target.
