      Lot of freedom to work on the areas of your choice to practice, though you might not get to work alone in critical areas as it might be too risky.

      A great place for someone who can swim on their own

      Pros

      If you are aggressive, talented and the most important - if you can lie through you teeth (to your boss and to your customer) - you have an ideal place to grow (seriously). If you can swim on your own this is one ideal place to reach heights which is unthinkable in other companies.

      Cons

      TATA values in TCS - come on you must be kidding. Processes, appraisals, training, employee focus, these are words used to attract outside world - reality sucks.

      Pros

      eighty percent employees enjoy relaxed job. Job security. Onsite assignments are mostly long term. If you are lucky, you can manage to stay there as long as you like.

      Cons

      Twenty percent of the employees do most of the job. Work life balance is not considered as a criteria at all. Too many processes. Project allocation is highly random. Internal transfers are extremely difficult.
