Pros

Work from home that’s about it

Cons

Extremely racist, lacks diversity, management shows favoritism and gets upset if you are unwilling to kiss their butts. The segment I worked for called Payer Solutions fired all of the claims in my office wxcept 2 people, just to outsource their jobs to Malaysia to pay pennies on the dollar. The healthcare sucks, lack of growth within the company unless you are white, or kiss butt. As the cost of living is increasing they are unwilling to give you decent raises, but they love to give out a bonus. Also when they merged with Express scripts changed me from salary to hourly and my job title. Last year they gave us a poor excuse as to why we were not getting raises was due to covid only bonuses, which makes no sense since they are a heath insurance company. It’s so much more I can say, but this is a horrible company I highly don’t recommend it for anyone unless you are in a position very high up. I’m excited to be with a new company that has diversity in it’s teams, management, and very high up positions, pays very well, and amazing insurance. Also I want to note I’ve had the same raggedy computers working for Cigna for the past 7 yrs, new company gives you laptops and encourages you to take meetings away from your desk for example go on walks.

Pros

- Most roles can be W@H - Pays higher than competitors - DEI dept is nearly all POC + women - LGBTQ+ affirming - (In Sales dept) Flexibility, trust, clear communication

Cons

- Inconsistent culture/work conditions across LOBs - Benefits (health, education reimb.) get worse every year - Raises/bonuses are dismal if you aren't the top achiever, because some/all of your 3% gets redistributed to top 2-3 teammates - Company took advantage of the pandemic; made a huge profit, but then didn't give employee raises + gave us a worse 2022 health plan. Made to feel like our sacrifice was "for the greater good" when it wasn't.

Pros

My direct manager was WONDERFUL and I stayed 3+ years solely because of her and my direct team and employees.

Cons

* Sr. Management and the Executive teams are predominantly white men who have been at the company for 10, 15, 20+ years. * They do not invest in their employees - managers can prevent their employees from interviewing for and accepting jobs within Cigna; and they frequently do. I have NEVER worked at a company where you needed your managers approval to apply for another job. * Their salaries and bonuses are underwhelming * I would have expected health insurance coverage to be better - nothing was easy or inexpensive about dealing with their insurance or pharmacies and I worked there; I can only imagine how hard it must be for those who don't have recourse within the company
