Pros

Team members are so good, very understanding. All the FTEs and very few contractors are so good at what they do. No company in the country offers this good work from home flexibility.

Cons

Hardworking employees often report to worst possible managers. There is so much importance given to contractors who work for cts, tcs etc. Ftes are not appreciated at all. Reporting structure at cigna simply sucks. All project members should be one team but the structure is divided based in roles. So what happens is you work for a boss who has no clue about the project but he or she gives the reviews for all your hardwork. Bonus that cigna pays is peanuts. Cigna had a wonderful work environment before it started having all the contractors for cts, tcs... not even in dreams we can imagine to have that back. All the meetings regarding work life balance is just waste of time. Indian managers at cigna are the worst managers to work for. Selfish managers, directors. They dont even let you take your pto. They talk like they are paying from their pockets. No clue how their work is rated. Cigna never asks employees how they feel about their boss.

Pros

Benefits and pay are ok.

Cons

As a person that only works with teams that are out of state, it seems silly to sit in traffic for 90 minutes a day so I can sit in a cube and join meetings in the office. I now get less work done than before just so I can occupy a seat. Separately, I work with some of the worst staff I’ve ever experienced in my career. SLT has no idea and their directs are too busy to care. Wasn’t like this in other departments, but wow is it a depressing work environment to commute into for no reason.

Pros

Great place to work, caregivers leave program to care for a loved on. 100% pay, lots of programs for employees to take advantage of.

Cons

Hard to move up within the company. You have to tell your boss you are looking. Although not every boss is happy to have an employee to go. Company is very unorganized and no onboarding processes. Leaders in positions that can’t even do a power point presentation by themselves. It’s a who you know type of party. If you were hired remote, they are aggressively trying to phase you out. You can’t move to another role unless you are willing to travel in office. Which is fine, but if you are no where close to a Cigna location you are pretty much out of luck. You either stay in the current role are leave the company. HR is not your friend if you have concerns
