Pros

Great place to work part time while attending school. Also, it's a great place to develop your interpersonal and communication skills.

Cons

Really no room for advancement. Sometimes you have to work long hours when it's really busy.

Pros

Very straight forward training using CDs.

Cons

On the floor training was a little less productive, instead of having someone on shift to train, trainees were just placed with the most convenient person (even if that person wasn't informed enough or skilled enough to properly train). When the restaurant got busy the trainees were left to themselves or thrown into pressure situations taking orders and preparing beverages (possibly in the first hour or so or their shift). Sometimes the person training was sent to do a chore, a different position or sent on break. Leaving the trainee alone or with someone else who had no idea what they had been taught so far, whether they had been taught properly or whether they understood.
