A Work in Progress

Recommend
Business Outlook

Pros

Tons of investment in acquisitions and new products, which creates a lot of excitement about contributing to meaningful growth. Excellent networking opportunities outside of one's department, like women's networking events, diversity luncheons, and volunteering. Quarterly corporate town hall meetings and monthly departmental meetings to keep all employees aware of the big picture. Chicago office location and facility amenities could not be more convenient or inclusive (gym, sit-stand desks, free coffee, etc.).

Cons

Hopeful that these things will diminish as the culture continues to shift: Number of employees coasting with lackluster performance and minimal oversight is far higher than should be allowed, particularly amongst more tenured staff. Too much top-heavy hierarchy at the moment (i.e. too many layers to executive staff; too many VPs and directors with only one or two employees, if any).
