Great company, provides solid experience - especially in Finance and Accounting

The company is results oriented and promotes from within. Open to ideas for change and improvement from individuals, allowing for creativity.

Cons

Work-Life balance exists, but is not the strongest the Chicago area. Functions are in silos and teams are not cross-functional in nature.

Pros

The health insurance plans and company matching for retirement are great! The online education programs are free and you can access them at your leisure to learn new skills or buff up on rarely used ones ( such as Dreamweaver and other website development programs).

Cons

Little to no opportunities for advancement, constant fear of more lay-offs, middle management's autocratic/chaotic management styles, job descriptions don't match job duties so comparable pay scales can't be applied . . .

Decent pay and benefits. Some great people to work with.

Cons

TransUnion is an organizational nightmare. Change is slow-to-come and isn't always good when it does. Changes in the IT environment tend to cause problems just as much as fix them. Communication is an issue and involves mostly emails. Employees in many technical support roles are over-worked, often working 60-80 hours per week without compensation.
