Pros

Passionate people, knowledgeable and motivated.

Cons

Internal departments are terrible (HR & Talent Management specifically), remote work is seen as a gift given to a select few, salaries are terrible and the MD recently said that if you want money or remote work you should consider working somewhere else. Wish I was kidding. They seem to think the prestige of working at Ubi is so wonderful you won't mind being exploited with low salaries, low leave days, and forced office work. Unforunately you can't pay rent with "our employee value proposition" which is what you get told if you mention that everyone leaving gets at least 30% more money immediately at the new job, with 4 more leave days. Communication in the last years have gone from open and transparent to marketing buzzwords and corporate PR.

Pros

Most people on the team were fantastic and make you feel very welcomed. However, your experience will vary wildly depending on the team that you are working with.

Cons

If you intend to have any kind of longevity, you need to ingratiate yourself with management and senior members of the team as soon as possible. Most senior and tenured team members have gathered themselves into passive aggressive cliques. If you ain't in with the cool kids, you're screwed. Overtime is constant and expected on the part of the employee due to consistently poor organization and haphazard decision making. Due to this, significant amounts of hours are wasted as a result. Employees are also reprimanded for tracking their overtime hours as it is left to the "manager's discretion" how this time is reclaimed. My direct manager was consistently away or absent and had little to no knowledge of events taking place with his team and provided zero support, instead he was often found swiping on tinder during meetings.
