      the benefits, the support I got from my former manager before he left, when he left things went downhill

      so much politics, lacks transparency, they'll kick you out if you don't agree or go agains management, lack of career advancement opportunity, trauma inducing

      Working with friends was fun at first

      -below industry average salary(by a lot).If you complain about it, your manager will tell you that you’re toxic.. -Factory like team structure, everyone’s replaceable. Responsibilities are very segmented, you never get to claim anything as your own which can be demotivating for artists -they don’t care about employees growth. -they spy on employees -nepotism and politics everywhere -they don’t listen to their employees, there’s literally 0 way to voice concerns anywhere within the company. -projects are mediocre at best, they used to be cool 10 years ago maybe Overall it was an extremely toxic work environment to the point I have to start therapy after leaving this studio. It’s not a bad place to start out but if you already have work exp in the industry, why settle for Ubi when there are better paying remote jobs out there?

      Pros

      - Used to be a really fun, great place to work pre-covid when there were lots of in-person events - Nice, friendly people but everyone is leaving - Good work-life balance with barely any crunch

      Cons

      - Pay is ridiculously below industry standards - Very slow career progression. You usually only move up if someone above you leaves the team - HR doesn't care about you unless you're senior management - Bleak future outlook with only co-dev or dead end projects
