Pros

Relaxed working environment, but very professional at finishing their work. Easily attracts best talent out of University and have a good sense of global recruiting. Leverage of being a multinational offers great opportunities for development. Big push to move East and therefore it would help if you would be interested to at least spend 2-3 years somewhere in the East (China/India). Work/life balance is excellent, and especially in the UK, nice holiday allowance (5 weeks).

Cons

Way too big -- difficult to make a big impact. Bureaucratic at times and so can get sometimes stuffy for young people as there is not great support for new ideas or moving things quickly.

Pros

Large diverse company with opportunity to interact with people all over the globe. Good life/work balance. Very good benefits.

Cons

Pay is not competitive however I suppose the benefits make up for it somewhat. Seems to be many different levels of upper management. Can get lost since it's such a large organization. Seems things change for the sake of change recently. Needs deep total rework of company to remain competitive in its field.

Pros

Unilever is very competitive and they make good products. Their aim is to be number one in every product category they compete in. This means they are at the cutting edge and are continuingly advancing the "State of the Art". There are many Unilever locations throughout the US and abroad. I work with a very diverse group of individual and have spent a lot of time over seas on both business trips and on secondaments. However, there are fewer locations now than a couple years ago and the numbers of opportunities for secomdements is going down. Along with the closings, there have been quite a few lay-offs.

Cons

It is very big and it is easy to get lost
