Good benefits package, unprepared leadership, political company
Pros
VTEX has a benefits package that is OK when compared to companies in the industry and the market. In addition to the usual brazilian benefits of health, food and bonuses, it also has reimbursement for books recommended by the company list and for reimbursement on purchases made on clients' ecommerce websites.
Cons
In a certain period, the company grew rapidly and as a result, many leaders emerged according to need and not necessarily because of their leadership ability. The company does not have a structured HR team, so there is no career plan and even less training for the leaders. As a result, it's possible to find all kinds of situations, teams fighting to see which one wins in a situation where EVERYONE should be working together towards a single result. Leadership that doesn't give or doesn't know how to give feedback, toxic leadership, leadership that doesn't know how to lead diverse people, egos fighting, aggressive people, people getting sick. There's a false culture of not micromanaging when it's just a way of not leading, letting people loose, and making their own decisions, where you supposedly need to know the direction, but at the end of the day, nobody knows where they´re going. There's no talk of diversity and plurality of people, there's no focus on the individual, everyone is just a number.
