      Pros

      Friendly atmosphere and work environment, easy going co workers, most fellow employees are very helpful to the new guys.

      Cons

      The point system is extreme. You have a heart attack and leave in an ambulance, you get pointed. The amount of time it takes to gain back points is unreal.

      Pros

      Great pay to start off with; good benefits. Good people (depending on the team you work with). It's a culturally diverse company, so speaking another language is a definite plus.

      Cons

      Lack of organization; very slow to process anything; no training-- you're basically thrown into cold water. Not great with their people. There are apparent organizational issues that need to be fixed.

      Until the management make a real change on how they run the design side of the business, only very desperate engineers should consider working at Valeo in Seymour.

      Pros

      Exterior lighting is actually a technically challenging field. You will be able to see your work on the road, on tv, and in magazines.

      Cons

      Communication is horrible. Engineers can be micromanaged to death. Other times they are given no direction at all. Training on how to actually do your job is minimal if there is any at all. More emphasis is put on perception than actually doing your job well. We are constantly put down instead of built up. Everyday is a new example of how to not do things right.
